I'm very new here and I don't understand most of this interface, so forgive me if I do something obviously stupid. I never had a livejournal account and I don't know what half of these words mean (circle? give access?? reading page???).

I like fanfiction, animated shows, all sorts of music, learning new things, pretty tape, captions on videos, bread, and autumn. I often read fanfiction for fandoms I'm not in. I don't like celery, loud noises, people who think art and music have declined since they were kids, or companies pretending to be people. I think in overcomplicated metaphors, and I love feeling helpful. Currently I'm trying to dig myself out of the mental pit that the pandemic tripped me into like an annoying elementary schooler on the bus.

My main goal is doing weekly fic recs, but there will also probably be musings about ao3 as a whole, and personal diaryish nonsense. Might veer into politics occasionally. To be completely honest, I have a tendency of starting a social media account, looking at it for a week, getting overwhelmed by people, and then dropping the whole thing like a hot potato. I hope that that won't happen here.
on a personal note:
Today I went to the eye doctor and on the drive home I saw a man ripping wires out of the ground by a streetlight. At first I thought he was some kind of repair guy, but he was pulling the wires out very haphazardly, and he threw a rock at the car in front of me. Then I went home and failed at crochet for a while. All in all, 6/10 day, unproductive but eventful.
